Setting up your Email

Where to go?


1. Users will be able to manage their email accounts under Settings->Email/Fax
2. Select Add Account


Adding an email for most email providers


1. Fill in the following fields
      **Personal emails should not be used for this feature
      a. Type in the name - the name is what your patient's will see and is typically the name of your facility
      b. Select your service provider
      c. Assign a user - determines who is able to send out messages from qemr using this email
      d. Input your email credentials - will be your email address and the password you use to sign into the email

Adding a Microsoft email w/ OAuth

1. If your email has O/Auth enabled, select Microsoft as the service provider
2. Enter the email address and click Submit
3. Once submitted, you will prompted to login to your email account to grant QuickEMR access

Adding a Gmail account


1. Select gmail as the service provider
2.
Enter a name and your email address

3. You will be prompted to sign into your Gmail account to grant Quickemr access

If you receive an error while setting up your Gmail account, you may have already authorized Quickemr.
You must access your security settings within your Gmail account and deny access then reestablish connection.



Email Hosting Services or Other:


If you are using a web host such as GoDaddy or a email hosting provider
      a. You will need to select Other as the service provider.
      b. Input your email credentials
 
    c. input your server address, port, and authentication method and if applicable you may need to allow smtp setting for your email(s)
          *This is typically found in your settings and you may need to contact your service provider for additional help

Testing your email


 1. send yourself a test email by going to Tools -> Send Email


Transaction Log:

3. View the transaction log by going to Reports->Logs->Transaction Log
4. If the job status was given an ID[in this example (1)], your email was successful 

Failed Email

if the job status was not given an ID () the email failed to send and you may need to revise your email credentials or settings
